Castlevania: Bloodlines is an action platformer developed and published by Konami for the Sega Genesis in 1994. It is the eleventh installment in the Castlevania series, and the first to be released for a Sega console.
The game is set in 1792, 100 years after the events of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. Countess Bartley, a female vampire, is plotting to revive Dracula. The two main characters of the game are John Morris, a vampire hunter of the Belmont lineage, and Eric Lecarde, a friend of John and the nephew of Quincy Morris, the main character of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood.
Castlevania: Bloodlines is a classic action RPG in the Castlevania style. Players control one of two main characters, using melee attacks and magic to fight enemies. The game has a level system, allowing players to upgrade their character’s strength and skills.
The game is highly appreciated for its graphics, music, and gameplay. Castlevania: Bloodlines is considered one of the best Castlevania games on the Sega Genesis system.
