Saturn Bomberman is an action puzzle game developed and published by Hudson Soft for the Sega Saturn. This is the twelfth installment in the popular Bomberman series, focusing on multiplayer gameplay. The game was first released in Japan in 1996, and in Europe and North America in 1997.
The game has a story mode that can be played in single-player or two-player modes. Story levels involve destroying columns with glowing red orbs on top (called Zarfs) while avoiding (or killing) enemies, destroying blocks, and collecting power-ups.
Saturn Bomberman is known for its multiplayer options, allowing up to 10 players to compete on screen through the use of the 6Player controller (and in Japan, Hudson created a controller-themed Bomberman topic). Even today, some modern versions of Bomberman still lack this feature.
Saturn Bomberman has beautiful 3D graphics and engaging gameplay, making it one of the best Bomberman games ever created. Saturn Bomberman is a great choice for Bomberman fans, or those looking for a fun multiplayer game.
