Mortal Kombat 3 is a fighting video game developed by Midway Games, and released in 1995 for arcade platforms, Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), Sega Genesis, Sega Game Gear, Sega Saturn, and PlayStation. It is the third installment in the Mortal Kombat series, and the first in the series to be released on home platforms.
The game continues the story of the previous game, with the return of protagonist Liu Kang, who defeated Shang Tsung and became the champion of the Mortal Kombat tournament. However, Shao Kahn, Liu Kang’s enemy, invaded Earth and began destroying it. Liu Kang and his allies must stop Shao Kahn before it is too late.
Mortal Kombat 3 was highly praised by critics, with praise for its graphics, sound, and gameplay. The game has sold more than 2 million copies worldwide and is considered one of the best fighting video games of all time.
