Fighting Vipers is a 3D fighting game developed by Sega AM2 for the Sega Model 2B CRX in 1995. The game was ported to the Sega Saturn the same year with significantly reduced graphics. A version of the game was released for the PlayStation 2 as part of the Sega Ages series in Sega Ages 2500 Series Vol. 2.
The game has similar gameplay to Sega AM2’s more famous Virtua Fighter series, specifically Virtua Fighter 2, using simple Guard, Punch, and Kick attack buttons with an emphasis on combos (the Saturn version used three additional buttons for three smaller combos).
The game features a complex combo system and powerful special attacks. Matches take place in a 3D arena, allowing players to move around freely. Fighting Vipers was highly regarded by critics, with praise for the gameplay, graphics, and music. The game has sold more than 1 million copies worldwide.
On the SS roms platform, Fighting Vipers is still an interesting and worth playing 3D fighting game. The game has stunning graphics, engaging gameplay, and unique characters. If you are a fan of the fighting genre, Fighting Vipers is a great choice.
