Resistance: Burning Skies is a third-person shooter game developed by Insomniac Games, and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation Vita in 2012. It is the first game in the Resistance series to be released for a mobile platform.
The game is set in 2036, ten years after the events of Resistance: Fall of Man. The player controls Ethan Cole, a former firefighter trying to find his wife and daughter in Seattle, Washington. Ethan soon discovers that a group of resistance humans are fighting against the Chimera, an alien race invading Earth.
Resistance: Burning Skies features gameplay similar to previous Resistance games, with a mix of third-person shooting and melee combat. Players can use a variety of weapons, including rifles, pistols, flamethrowers, and grenade launchers. The game also features an upgrade system that allows players to improve Ethan’s abilities.
Resistance: Burning Skies received positive reviews from critics. Critics praised the engaging gameplay, beautiful graphics, and engaging storyline. However, some critics criticized the game’s short length.
