God of War Collection is a collection of the first two God of War titles, released for the PlayStation Vita in 2012. The collection was developed by Bluepoint Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment.
The two titles in the collection are God of War (2005) and God of War II (2007). Both games are third-person hack-and-slash action games set in Greek mythology. Players will control Kratos, a Spartan warrior who was deceived by Zeus and killed his wife and children. Kratos vows revenge on Zeus and begins his journey through the world of ancient Greece.
The gameplay of the God of War Collection remains the same as the original versions. Players will use powerful attacks and special skills to defeat enemies. The hack-and-slash gameplay has been tweaked to suit the PlayStation Vita’s touch screen.
God of War Collection received positive reviews from critics. Critics praised the improved graphics, refined hack-and-slash gameplay, and engaging storyline. The collection has sold more than 1 million copies worldwide.
