Spider-Man Venom: Maximum Carnage is an action-adventure video game based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. The game was developed by Software Creations, and published by Acclaim Entertainment for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1994.
The game is set after the events of Maximum Carnage, a crossover story between Spider-Man and Venom. In the game, Spider-Man and Venom must work together to stop Carnage and his accomplices Shriek, Doppelganger, Carrion, and Demogoblin.
The game features side-scrolling action gameplay, similar to other Spider-Man games on the SNES such as Spider-Man: The Movie and Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge. Players control Spider-Man or Venom, using their abilities to defeat enemies and overcome obstacles.
Spider-Man Venom: Maximum Carnage was highly praised by critics, with many praising the game’s gameplay, graphics, and sound. The game was also a commercial success, selling over 1 million copies worldwide.
