Sonic Advance is a free-running video game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega for the Game Boy Advance in 2001. It is the first Sonic game released on the Game Boy Advance and the 10th game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series.
The game is set on a newly discovered island called Mazuri. Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails, Knuckles the Echidna, and Amy Rose arrive on the island in search of the Chaos Emeralds, but they quickly discover that the island is being invaded by Dr. Eggman. Eggman created a group of robots – Chaotix to help him defeat Sonic and his friends.
The game features similar gameplay to previous Sonic games, with the player controlling Sonic through levels by running, jumping, and using special skills. The game also introduces several new features, including the ability to run on walls and an upgrade system that allows players to increase Sonic’s speed and strength.
Sonic Advance received positive reviews from critics, with many praising its engaging gameplay and beautiful graphics. The game has sold more than 2 million copies worldwide.
