Pokémon Gold and Silver are two role-playing video games developed by Game Freak, and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Color in 1999. They are sequels to the games Pokémon Red and Blue, and the first in the second generation of the Pokémon game series.
The game is set in the Johto region, a new land located west of the Kanto region. Players will begin their journey in New Bark Town, where they will receive their first Pokémon from Professor Elm. The goal of the game is to defeat the Elite Four and become the Pokémon champion of the Johto region.
