Mega Man Xtreme 2 is an action platform game developed and published by Capcom for the Game Boy Color platform in 1996. It is the sequel to Mega Man Xtreme, and the fourth installment in the Mega Man X series.
The game is set in the 22nd century, between the events of Mega Man X3 and Mega Man X4. The soul DNA of robots called “Reploids” around the world is being stolen by a pair of villains to create an army of undead “Mavericks”. “Maverick Hunters” X and Zero quickly jump into action with the help of their young companion Iris.
Players can choose to play with X or Zero, each with unique abilities and weapons. The game has eight levels, each guarded by a Maverick. The player must defeat the Mavericks to advance to the next level.
Mega Man Xtreme 2 received positive reviews from critics, with praise for its graphics, sound, and gameplay. The game has sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide.
