Mega Man Battle Network is a series of action role-playing video games developed by Capcom for the Game Boy Advance. The series launched in 2001 with Mega Man Battle Network and ended in 2006 with Mega Man Battle Network 6.
The game is set shortly, where humans and computers are connected through a global network called Cyberworld. The player controls Lan Hikari, a 12-year-old boy living in Den City. Lan has a NetNavi named MegaMan.EXE, a computer program designed to protect its users from threats in Cyberworld.
Mega Man Battle Network’s gameplay focuses on exploring Cyberworld and fighting other NetNavi. Players use Battlechip cards to attack and use special skills. Battleships can be purchased from shops or collected in Cyberworld.
The Mega Man Battle Network series is highly appreciated for its unique gameplay and engaging storyline. It has sold more than 14 million copies worldwide and is considered one of the most successful Mega Man video game series.
