The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Nintendo for the GameCube in 2002. It is the sixth installment in the The Legend of Zelda series, and the first direct sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
The game begins with Link, a young adventurous boy, living in a small fishing village on a floating island. One day, he meets Tetra, a beautiful young girl who is being chased by a group of pirates. Link helps Tetra escape, and they soon discover that she is Princess Zelda, successor to the Kingdom of Hyrule.
The game is played from a third-person perspective, and the player can move Link around the world using the joystick. Link can use a variety of weapons and magic to fight enemies and solve puzzles.
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker was well-received by critics, who praised the graphics, music, and gameplay. It has sold more than 5.5 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling GameCube games.
