Metroid: Samus Returns is a 2D action-adventure game developed by MercurySteam, and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS handheld console in 2017. It is a remake of the game Metroid II: Return of Samus. released in 1991 on Game Boy.
In the game, players will play the role of Samus Aran, a female warrior sent to planet SR388 to destroy the Metroid monsters that are threatening the peace of the universe. Samus will have to explore the corners of the planet, fight Metroids and other creatures, and find new powers to overcome obstacles.
The game has gameplay similar to other Metroid games, with an emphasis on exploration, combat, and puzzles. Samus can use a variety of weapons and powers to overcome obstacles and defeat enemies.
