Atama is a stealth horror experience with a spiritual twist, where you don’t fight, but rather hide, observe, and survive in a cursed Japanese village. You play as Kaede, a niece who decides to investigate the mysterious disappearance of her aunt Noriko, the only relative she has kept in touch with through unsettling letters. Her journey takes her to Kisaragi, a village where every mythical tale becomes a terrifying reality.

Unable to attack, only able to escape

What makes Atama different is that you have no weapons. No guns, no knives, no magic attacks – only your wits and the ability to see through the eyes of your pursuer. Every step in the village must be carefully calculated, because one wrong look will be discovered and there will be no second chance. The game makes fear the main ingredient, forcing you to face the feeling of being followed without knowing when death will come.

A Cursed Village and Dark Riddles

More than just a home to terrifying creatures, Kisaragi is also a maze of riddles, sealed secrets, and pieces of Kaede’s family story. Every old letter, every relic in the abandoned house, and every dark hallway holds clues that lead you to the truth behind the curse. The puzzles in Atama are not only logical, but also require keen observation and sometimes… courage to venture into places you know are unsafe.

Spirituality and family legacy intersect in nightmares

Kaede once thought stories about family curses were just silly superstitions of the older generation. But when invisible creatures begin to appear and strange dreams persist into her waking hours, she is forced to reconsider everything. Atama weaves a story that is both personal and terrifying, where memories, bloodlines, and old beliefs form a vortex that pulls players into the deepest depths of fear. You don’t just discover the mystery – you live it.

A new experience in the horror genre

Atama doesn’t follow the beaten path of action horror games. It is a blend of stealth – puzzle – spiritual storytelling, delivered with a melancholic atmosphere, eerie sound design, and haunting visuals typical of Japanese culture. It is this combination that creates a sense of unpredictability, where players are always on high alert and must rely entirely on their senses to survive.
