Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is a platform video game developed and published by Sega for the Sega Genesis in 1994. It is the third installment in the original Sonic the Hedgehog series, and the second installment in the original Sonic The “Death Egg Saga” begins with Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and ends with Sonic & Knuckles.
The game is set on a remote island where Dr. Eggman is building the Death Egg, a giant space base. Sonic and Tails must stop Eggman’s plans by collecting all seven Chaos Gems.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is highly appreciated for its graphics, music, and gameplay. The game has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide and is considered one of the best platform video games of all time.
