Puyo Puyo Sun is a real-time puzzle game developed by Compile and published by Sega for the Sega Saturn in 1997. It is the third installment in the Puyo Puyo series, and the first was released for the Sega Saturn.
In Puyo Puyo Sun, the player will control a character to create Puyo chains, which are square blocks of different colors. When three or more Puyos of the same color touch each other, they will disappear and create a bomb. The bomb will explode and destroy the Puyos around it.
The object of the game is to make your opponent run out of Puyo before they run out of Puyo. Players can create longer Puyo chains to create more powerful bombs, dealing more damage to opponents.
Puyo Puyo Sun has several new features compared to previous Puyo Puyo games. A new feature is the ability to play with just three Puyo colors. This makes the game faster and more difficult.
The other new feature is “Mission Mode”, in which players must complete different missions to win. Puyo Puyo Sun was highly rated by critics and is considered one of the best Puyo Puyo games ever created.
