Golden Ax II is a beat ’em up action game developed and published by Sega in 1991 for the Sega Genesis. It is a sequel to the original Golden Ax game, released in 1989.
In Golden Ax II, players control one of three characters: Tyris Flare, Ax Battler, or Gilius Thunderhead, to fight against the forces of Death Adder, an evil magician who has usurped the kingdom of Yuria.
The game has similar gameplay to the first game, but has been enhanced with upgraded graphics and sound, as well as new features such as the ability to upgrade weapons and the ability to call support characters.
