True Crime: New York City is an action-adventure game developed by Luxoflux, and published by Activision for GameCube, Xbox, and PlayStation 2 in 2005. It is a sequel to True Crime: Streets of LA and the first installment in the True Crime game series.
In True Crime: New York City, players take on the role of Marcus Reed, a New York police officer investigating the death of his friend, Jackie Jackson. Reed soon discovers that Jackie is under investigation for a major conspiracy, and he must fight crime and corruption to find the truth.
The game features standard third-person action gameplay, with the player able to use guns, unarmed weapons, and vehicles to fight enemies. The game also features a robust investigation system, allowing players to gather clues and track down suspects.
