Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance is a fighting game developed and published by Midway Games for the Game Boy Advance platform in 2002. It is the sixth installment in the Mortal Kombat series, and the first to be released for handheld platforms.
The game is set after the events of Mortal Kombat 4, in which Earthrealm warriors defeated Shao Kahn. However, two new characters, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, teamed up to use the Soulnado, a machine capable of sucking the souls of the dead, to destroy Earthrealm.
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance retains the traditional fighting gameplay of the Mortal Kombat series. Players can defeat opponents with basic attacks, combos, and special moves.
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance received positive reviews from critics, averaging 74 on Metacritic. The game was praised for its beautiful graphics, engaging gameplay, and interesting storyline. The game has sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide.
