Killer Instinct Gold is a fighting game developed by Rare, and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64 in 1996. It is an adaptation of the arcade fighting game Killer Instinct 2.
The game has gameplay similar to other fighting games, with two player-controlled or artificial intelligence characters fighting each other in one-on-one matches to deplete their opponents’ health bars. Killer Instinct Gold features a complex combo system and brutal finishing moves.
