Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past is a JRPG developed by Level-5, and published by Square Enix for Nintendo 3DS in 2013 in Japan, and in 2014 in North America and Europe. It is a remake of Dragon Quest VII: The Eternal Journey, released for PlayStation in 2000.
The game features a large open world to explore, with many cities, towns, and caves to explore. Players can fight monsters using a turn-based battle system. They can also use special spells, items, and skills to defeat their enemies.
In Dragon Quest VII, players follow a group of children stranded on a strange island. They soon discover that the island is one of the fragments of a forgotten world. Their mission is to find a way to restore this world and free those trapped in it.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past features traditional role-playing gameplay, with players exploring the world, fighting enemies, and completing quests. The game also has several new features, such as the ability to collect and use fragments of forgotten worlds to unlock new areas and the ability to play as other characters in the story.
